Christmas Quilt Donation for N.O.W.

Well another year has flown by.... I can't believe it will be 2013 in a matter of weeks!

 Our Findlay's Quilt Group has once again done an amazing job creating beautiful quilts for those in need of a little extra lovin'.

Due to the generous donation of McIntosh Properties earlier this year, the group has been able to continue doing what they enjoy
Our December quilt donation was for the ever appreciative New Oportunites for Women, publicly known as N.O.W.
Judith  (2nd from left) from N.O.W.was gracious enough to not only pick up the quilts, but allow us to include her in our our year end group picture....minus one face....you know who you are :o-))

We wish everyone all the very best through the holiday season.....for many it is can be a sad time of the year, so be sure to pass out extra hugs....You can never have too many hugs :o-)

More Beautiful Quilts by Our QFC Group

The QFC ladies are taking the summer off.....but here are some beautiful quilts they have been working on.... thanks to the very generous donation from McIntosh Properties! Great job ladies! These will make some lucky recipients very happy!

The quilt blocks in this quilt were created by a quilter that was unable to finish her project. So she brought the blocks into our quilt group and asked if the ladies would be kind enough to finish it for her, and donate the quilt. So two of our "Linda's" took on the task and here is the final results. Very nice ladies!

Victoria Hospice House Gives Thanks!

This letter was received by Brenda,regarding the beautiful quilt our quilting group created in memory of Brenda's Mom.

Happy Holidays Brenda!

We received the quilt safe and sound a few days ago (unfortunately I
was off work sick until today) and it looks so wonderful! The colours
are so beautiful and bold and work really well together. It looks so
very professionally made. What a touching gift to our unit and
tribute to your Mom. I'm sure it will bring pleasure to the patients
and families who see it on their bed here at Victoria Hospice.

2011 Coming to an End

It is hard to believe that 2012 is just days away! Findlay's Charity Quilting Group has worked hard this year creating beautiful quilts that have been donated to many organizations in need. We were blessed once again by receiving an incredible donation from McIntosh Properties! With their support the group has the fabric, batting & notions needed to carry on making more beautiful quilts! Much thanks to Brenda Sleeper in helping to make this happen.

The group finished the year off making this beautiful quilt in memory of Brenda's mom, who passed away earlier this year from cancer. It is being donated to the Hospice in Victoria.

The "holidays" can often be a very sad and lonely time for families who have suffered a loss of a loved one.
Don't forget to remember......
